Leonardo da Vinci

He was born on April 15,1452,right after the Middle Adges.By the time da Vinci was 26 years old,he had completed the Annunciation. It was one of the most famous paintings ever created.
The Last Supper was also created by da Vinci several years later.

Leonardo designed new canals and modernized old ones in Milan , as well as serving as the court portrait painter.

He also studid sciences and the body. His findings were recorded in his books of drawings and notes and were studied in Italian medical school for years. He also painted the well known Mona Lisa. It is also known as La Gioconda. It was housed in the Musee du Louvre, Paris. This came to be considerd the Prototype of the Renaissance portrait. In the essay "On the perfect beauty of a women." By the 16nth century writer Fremzuola, we learned that the slight opening of the lips at the mouth was considered in that period sign of elagance. thus Mona Lisa has that slight smile which enters into the gentle, delacate atomsphere prevading the whole painting.

We studid the Mona Lisa. There is controversy about this painting. As to who this subject was some people think that it is truly a self - portrait of Leonardo da Vinci. We drew our own modern " Mona Lisa " after studying the original one.
