Islands in Croatia

People say that the Croatian coastline of the Adriatic Sea is one of the most beautiful in the world. The reason is more than one thousand islands that are straching along the entire coast. If you travel by ship from north to south, you will always see some islands in the distance! However, most of the islands are small and uninhabited. Only about 20 larger islands are inhabited. Those islands are very popular with tourists.

History of Island
Losinj is one of the most popular Croatian islands. It's famous for its lush green vegetation. Losinj was under Venetian rule until 1797. Under Austro-Hungarian rule it became an important base for shipbuilding.
