Life in 2500

Before you imagine what the world will be like in the year 2500, use creativity skills to help you come up with some creative ideas:
FLUENCY: This skill is one in which you think of long lists of ideas, such as how many words begin with the letter "s"? The first few words you think of are obvious ideas, but the more words you come up with, the more creative you get.
FLEXIBILITY: This skill is one in which you have the ability to be flexible with your ideas, such as having to have an inside party when you made plans to have your party on the beach.
ORIGINALITY: This is the ability to come up with original ideas that no one else has come up with.
ELABORATION: This skill is one in which you try to provide a lot of details and become "elaborate" with your ideas.
These are some ideas that we came up with using these skills to imagine what the earth will be like in the year 2500:
Kristen:
Everyone wonders what it will be like in 493 years. But I have my own idea of what it will be like in the year 2500. And my prediction of what it will be like is a mixed review.
Imagine it, we will have established a base on the moon about 40 years previously. School kids can take field trips to the moon weekly. We would've found a cure for AIDS and cancer. The war will have ended a long time ago and peace flows freely through the land. Schools will be high tech and college prices at an all time high. Kids will learn more and be smarter than ever before! History will be the main subject at school. Cafeteria food will be delicious! You just walk up to a machine, stick out your tongue, and it will scan your taste buds to see what you want to eat. Then, POOF, the perfect meal will appear! Transportation will by flying school buses and cars will be able to fly easily from one place to another. It would be amazing!
But it wouldn't be all fun and games. Global warming will be sky high! Polar bears and penguins would be extinct. Most people would've already left to live on the moon. It would be really bad.
Although it would be good and bad, it would be an amazing world. I hope the future world will be the best of all time.
Morgan:
Here I am in the wonderful year of 2500. The environment here is so clean, not a drop of dirt. I work in a pet grooming store and it is so hard! I mean, come on! I have to wake up at 12:00 p.m. every day and take my hoover car to the store. It takes so long to get there. It takes me 20 seconds to get from my home in Florida to the store in Mississippi ! My next door neighbor works at the same place as me and it only takes her 10 seconds! It is so unfair! At work, I have to push 5 buttons and then I get to go home. It takes 2 seconds and that is like forever.
Carly:
In the year 2500, I think we would have stopped global warming and we would have invented cars that run on things we don't need like garbage waste or broccoli. The side effect is that it will smell like whatever you like such as chocolate because you have a little chip you can buy. I also predict that the building can go into a different dimension so you don't hit it with your car. I forgot to say that the cars in 2500 don't fly, we haven't got that technology yet, but they can hover up to seven feet. That isn't as impressive as flying, but these cars are built for speed!
Roberta:
I believe that in the year 2500 things will be very different. Transportation, food, and the environment will be some things that will change.
Instead of cars, we may have hovering devices that float around. We could also have electric cars instead of oil-using cars. Food might be more organic, or it might be made of substitute chemicals and materials.
The environment is what I believe will change the most. The environment changes will also determine many other changes. Now, many people are struggling to keep the environment healthy. If more people try to help the environment, then perhaps in 2500 we will have more forests and wildlife. If people won't help the environment, then we will have no forests and little wildlife left.
No one can tell for sure what earth will be like in the future. I hope that we make the Earth a healthier, more livable place for all types of life.
Only time will tell.
Lakelyn:
Take a trip through time. Experience what it is like to live in the year 2500. This journey I will take you on is full of my thoughts for the year 2500. So, let us depart.
Imagine when you see this new world what feelings you might have. Just like Christopher Columbus, or some other famous explorer you look at the environment, transportation, education, and houses. Just as you are taking it all in, new surprises come your way. Let us take a look at what you just saw.
For transportation, you think you see regular cars. You see someone pull into a gas station. You think they are getting gas but they are not. They are getting two jugs of milk and filling their car with it. Next, you see a regular looking car pull up in a driveway. Instead of the people getting out of their car through a door, you see them getting out of the whole side of the car.
Then, you turn around and see a school. You decide to go in. It looks normal, but it is not. It is more advanced. The kids are not acting up. They are just sitting there listening to the teacher. Every once in a while you see them laugh. Instead of normal textbook work like you are used to, you see just games in the books. They are learning games though.
The houses look normal, but they are not. Parts of the roof can come down with a push of a button. There are elevators in some instead of stairs. The lights go on and off when you clap. The pictures on the wallpaper can move.
Finally, you notice that the environment has changed a little. You see solar powered things and people are not littering. You also see that there are no hunters around either.
You like this time and want to stay. You take one step toward the new world and, all of a sudden, you are traveling in time again. Now, you see an even better world! It is not your time though. It is 2993!
It is very hard to think about the world in 2500. That's why I'm going to plan the future for myself and for people who will play important roles in my life.
What will happen tomorrow? And the dy after tomorrow? I'm dreaming about next 20 years from now.
When I was a small girl I wanted to be a lawyer. I strongly believed that I would work at the court and be very successful in soving many problems. Now, I've changed my mind.
I love sports and things aout sports. I watch sports and competitions on TV every day. Many people think that they become amazing sportsmen but I know it's not so easy.
I play basketball because I'm tall and have skills for it. I want to be the best basketball player in future, then the best cuach as well.
But I'm also interested in medicine, too. I'd like to work at the chemist's. Oh, the future is so uncertain!
I think that I would live in a big city, New York , for example. I will have an intelligent husband. He needs to be a good cooker and responsible for our children. I'd like to adopt a baby girl because I'm afraid to give a birth to my own. Her name will be Agatha. Later, we will adopt three more children and live in a huge flat near Cenral Park .
But right now, my problems about my future are my grades in the HOK school. If I fail…then goodye New York !
How to plan a future today? I'm young and I have time. As I'm getting older, my dreams are changing.
I will explore and discover future with more competence in the following years.

Future With Me
It is as my dreams come true. I've been waiting for this for more than twenty years. At the last elections the nation has chosen me for the President of our Government. How was it possible? In my campaign I've announced that I was the student of the House of Knowledge School and that was crucial. All other candidates were eliminated. My program is based mostly on economy. I'm a businessman and I know the rules. I'm running the chain of healthy food supermarkets. Now, as a Premiere, I will leave my business for few years and let it to people who I trust, who are honest and good workers.
But I haven't reached the top yet. I'm exploring my possibilities and my boundaries. Am I strong and powerful enough to provide my decisions? Are the people around me ready to face with huge difficulties in this country?
I will start the reforms in money distribution. First, I will cut the sport budget, especially for soccer, and allocate the money to workers' salaries and pensions. I know that the members of the Parliament won't be happy but they must understand that the workers and retired people live very poor life. Well paid workers are more successful and produce better products.
I won't agree to sell land and islands as a former President. Instead, I will start a 50 million Kuna project called "Small Croatia". It will be the artificial islands in the Adriatic Sea shaped like Croatia . I will offer them to rich people from the world and make much more money for economy.
Is it the right way? I'll see.
Wish me luck!
Matej
