Creating a History Timeline

Objectives: Time;You will be able to create a timeline for any purpose.
Materials and equipment: Blackboard, colored chalks, papers, computer, printer…
Standard: Gathering and locating important information on a timeline, analyzing specific events during history. Interview with the History teacher (optional)

Let's start now!

Are you able to arrange historical events in chronological order? Yes? I hope so.

Grab the History textbook and choose the topic.
Compose yourself and think: what I already know about this topic, what I want to know, where I can find out more about it.
Procedure

a. Your concept of the cronological order.

b. Draw the timeline on the board (horizontal or vertical).

c. Make a list of 5 most important dates and events that you want to put on the timeline.

d. Write them on your timeline.

e. Check the chronological order. It's very important.

f. Compare the timeline with the information in your textbook, search the Internet, talk with the members of your group.

g. Make a decision about pictures , captures, explanations, graphics, tables, etc.

h. Go on up to the end of your timeline.

4. Self-evaluation:

i. Be creative as much as you can. Share your creativity with everybody around you ! I won't draw a timeline for you. You are the one who should do it the best you can!
