English-Russian proverbs

There are proverbs in English and Russian languages that have the same meaning but differ in words. Here are example of four pairs (Russian proverbs are given in direct translation)

Send not a cat for lard Do not let goat to the garden

First catch your hare What is in the pond, does not mean it is on your rod.

Too many cooks spoil the broth Child with 7 nannies is without eye.

Nothing comes out of sack but what was in it. Horse can't jump higher than horse are supposed to do.
