Student Thoughts on this years GVC Project:

Technology allows us work together on a common project, like the web site. We can meet new friends from different countries through the Internet. The Internet allows us to establish relationships with children around the world. I learned a lot about computers and programs like Photoshop and Claris home page.

I learned to work better in the Flash, Photoshop and Imageready. The project was amazing and without the technology; there would be no project. It's one of the most important things in the project. What I learned about is making friends and how to meet children through the Internet. I learned that you can have friends from all over the world and to meet them too, even if they are different.

I think the way we chat with pupils from other countries is an amazing idea. We learn about them and they learn about us and we sent a box with candies and other things and they sent us a box with a lot of things and I was very happy to get their package and I was very happy too send them a package. I think the GVC project is wonderful for children and I had a wonderful time.

Global Collaboration

My class took part in a project for global collaboration. I learned how to use modern technology in this project. I learned to use my computer to contact other children from different countries. I learned about children from the USA, and Taiwan. I was exposed to new cultures and life styles. I met new friends from all over the world; I learned about their studies, hobbies, families... I practiced using the Internet to contact and learn about other people.

Global Collaboration
I learned how to write on the forums, and how to use the Internet in many websites. I also learned about the culture and the routine of other children around the world, how they celebrate their holidays, what their special foods are… I studied about the geography of USA and Taiwan. I enjoyed this project very much and thank all of our new friends in the project.

I learned that the world is huge, and without technology we couldn't contact each other from different distances, the project helped me to understand that. Now when I know that the technology teaches us a lot, I am starting to think about different ways to improve the technology. I think all of us have to think about it, and it doesn’t matter if you are a rock star or an inventor, I think that not only peace can make our world better.

Also, I am starting to ask myself questions like:
When the first people were in this world, what did they do?
Why the technology was invented?
How can we improve the technology?
Why should we do it?
Why am I thinking about it?

After that I am trying to find the correct answers:
When the first people were in this world, what did they do?
They tried to improve their life by inventing or discovering things, and it was a big success, they improved their lives and our too.
Why the technology was invented?
I think that the technology wasn't invented, I think that the technology was discovered by people in different times.
Why should we do it?
I think we should do his things because I'm sure that everyone wants that his children will live in a better world then they lived in.
Why am I thinking about it?
I can't find an answer to this question, not yet…maybe sometime I'll know.
I learned that it can be cool to meet other children through the internet,
But sometimes it's really dangerous.

And also I learned you can trust other people and believe them, if you actually know who is on the second side of the computer.
I really like the project and I believe that we can improve it even if we are doing our best!

Global collaboration :I love the project and I think it’s a great fun. I love to write to other people from other countries and to tell them everything. I love to talk with them about their hobbies and know what they are. I think that I learned a lot about other cultures and their past. I think that the project did only good for me.

What I learned about the project in technology?
During the project I learned new technology skills, like how to use the Adobe Photosho.? I also learned how I can build basic HTML page. I even learned to create pictures and animations. And more interesting thing. through the technology I learned, how I can volunteer to help to my friends in the class. It was a very interesting process.

What I learned about friends and to meet children through the Internet?
I learned by means of the project about friends and Internet, many things about children abroad d can like the same things, like children in Israel. Children abroad can be nice and very polite and they can recommend new things to you. The Internet can to be a very successful mediator between children or more, and I think that people can meet people and to develop connections with help by the Internet

I like to correspond with other children from all over the world. Learning the project made me very happy and GVC was fun.
