The Hoop Snake is a myth from the United States that gained popularity with the telling of Pecos Bill tall tales. Supposedly, it can grab it's tale with it's mouth and roll along, crushing anything or anyone in it's path. While several people over the years have claimed to 'see' hoop snakes, their existence has never been proven by scientists.
