OdinOdin is the father of the Gods. He is the god of wisdom, war, battle, and death. He is the father of Thor, Balder and many others. He is able to change his form. He prefers to take the form of an old man with a staff. He hung himself from a tree to gain wisdom but was pierced by his own javelin while hanging.
