My friend, Max, and I were in my mom’s car waiting to go to the beach. It was a long drive. We were in the car for roughly, 2 hours. Finally we arrived there. It was a good day. The sun was shining, and the weather was excellent. Before we got out, my mom gave us a long lecture about safety, and being on our own. “"Now remember, don’t talk to strangers and don’t go too far. Oh, and remember to be back at the parking lot by 4:00," ”my Mom said.

“"Ok, Mom,"” I told her. I closed the car door and I watched my mom drive away in the distance. “"What are we waiting for? Let’s go!"” Max said. We raced across the boardwalk and much to our dismay, not a single person was around It was weird because the beach was always crowded at this time. After a long time, we reached the beach sand. We gasped for breath and walked toward the water. Then we looked around. ”" Where is everyone?"” I said.

“"Hey Max, doesn’t this seem weird that no one else is at the Beach?"” I said.

"Hey who cares we get the beach to ourselves!"” Max exclaimed and he ran and jumped into the water. I followed him and saw him swimming. “"What are you waiting for? The water’s great!"” Max said. I should’ve told him. But I was too shocked. I found out the reason why the beach was empty. For, in the water was nothing more but red tide.
