We live in Siberia and have long winters with snow. So, it is natural that skiing and snow boarding are very popular sports in our region and among the students of our school.
Many students from our school go to Altai mountains to ski and snow board. It is only one night by train from Novosibirsk.
Sometimes even whole classes go there with their class coordinator for the weekend.
There are mountains of different levels, so everyone can choose what suits him, even total beginners.
Only one bad thing is that equipment for winter sports is very expensive if you don't use them frequently.
Other popular sports include skating, playing hockey, football, swimming.
Many teenagers in Russia go in for some kind of sport more professionally and the variety of sports is big.
