This is Kobe Bryant. He's an amazing basketball player. This is about him and his career. Kobe Bryant was born August 23, 1978 in Philadelphia, PA. He is 29 years old. Because his parents saw Japanese steak on the menu of the restaurant, they named him Kobe. Kobe started to play basketball at age four because his father played in the NBA. His father left the NBA and moved his family to Italy to play professional basketball there. They moved back to the United States in 1991 and Kobe became a high school basketball star in Pennsylvania. |

When Kobe was a senior in high school he decided to skip college and go directly to the NBA. Kobe was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets but traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. He plays shooting guard for the Los Angeles Lakers where they won three straight NBA championships (2000-2002). He holds many NBA records and has been named to the all-star team 9 times. Kobe Bryant contributes to the community with his team, the Los Angeles Lakers. The Los Angeles Lakers matched all proceeds from in-arena auctions at their home games on January 2, 7 and 13. The Lakers also matched Kobe Bryant’s donation of $1,000 for every basket he scored on January 7 (27 points) and as an organization pledged a total of $100,000 to UNICEF. I think Kobe Bryant is good at basketball. He has a passion for the game of basketball. |
