Nanotechnology and the Future of Medicine
By William W (WM)
A subject that will be of major importance in our future is the study of medical nanotechnology. Medical Nanotechnology is the use of nanotechnology to cure and relieve diseases. Nanotechnology could be used in surgery. A method of using it makes the mending of flesh much easier and safer than current methods. Tiny sensors can also be used to detect cancer early on. The use of nanoshells coated with gold can be used to kill cancer cells and is safer and faster than using chemotherapy or radiation treatment.

A branch of nanotechnology called nanorobotics could change the face of the medical world forever. The concept of nanorobotics is that we could create robots approaching the size of 1 nanometer. Nanorobots could be used in incredibly precise surgery and could be used to kill cancer cells. They could also be put into the bloodstream to help fight other sicknesses.

However, there has been some testing done using incredibly small electronics to perform tasks like counting molecules. Nanorobotics will be a major part of our future, in medicine and in other ways.
