Since September 11th of 2001, terrorism has changed the lives of a whole
generation. Americans have given much more attention to terrorism and the
government has put much more money into funding against terrorism. Generation Y
will have to go through many different steps and cautions in life that other
generations didn't have to worry about, all because of terrorists and September
11th.
Terrorists can attack at any time and
anywhere around the world. Different countries
have developed new laws to stop terrorism from
happening. For example, Brazil has just recently
drafted an anti-terrorism law when they haven't
even been attacked by anyone. This goes to show
that everyone will always be alert about these
types of things in the future. Each country will
have its own ideas and steps as how to fight
against things like what happened on September
11th.
The United States and Australia have also just agreed to work on several
scientific projects to counter terrorism. Both countries will share information
with each other about home made materials used to make explosives and the
regulations of those materials. Scientists from both countries will be
developing a more sophisticated screening system to detect guns and firearm
components in the mail.
Today's generation of America will also have to deal with homegrown
terrorism. This type of terrorism grows in a country and become even more of a
threat. A meeting is being held in Fresno, California on March 20th for the
government to talk about topics of the new types of terrorism in this
generation.
The new generation of today's people has to go up against many different
types of things that past generations didn't even have to think about. Home land
security and the fight against terrorism have taken a much bigger role in the
lives of everyday people. Ever since September 11th, the people of American will
probably never feel as safe as they use to.
